Warranty Policy
1. Our Quality Commitment
At Phone Repair Centre, we stand behind the craftsmanship of our technicians and the quality of every component we install. Every repair completed at our St Marys lab or Schofields express store is backed by our comprehensive warranty and protected by the Australian Consumer Law.
2. Warranty Coverage Durations
- Brand New Sealed Phones (1-Year Manufacturer Warranty): All brand-new handsets sold by Phone Repair Centre come with a full 1-year (12-month) direct manufacturer warranty provided by the original equipment manufacturer (such as Apple, Samsung, or Google).
- Second-Hand & Refurbished Phones (6-Month Store Warranty from PRC): Pre-owned and refurbished devices sold by Phone Repair Centre undergo our comprehensive 30-point technician bench check and include our 6-month store warranty covering all internal hardware defects, supported by a 14-day change-of-mind return policy. Note: On select models, the battery may carry a 3-month limited warranty while the handset hardware maintains full 6-month coverage.
- All Device Repairs (3-Month Store Warranty): Any repair we do, across all device categories, screens, batteries, charging ports, camera modules, loudspeakers, microsoldering, motherboard repairs, and gaming consoles, is backed by our comprehensive 3-month store warranty against parts defects and workmanship failures.
- Phone Cases, Screen Protectors & Retail Accessories (30-Day Defect Guarantee): All protective cases, MagSafe covers, charging cables, power adapters, car mounts, and 9H tempered glass accessories are backed by our 30-day warranty against manufacturing faults, dead-on-arrival failures, and material defects under the Australian Consumer Law.
3. What is Covered
Our warranty covers spontaneous part failures resulting from defect in materials or workmanship. Examples include:
- Touch responsiveness failure with zero physical glass or OLED cracks.
- Port failure where pins are intact and undamaged.
- Display flickering or vertical line defects without impact points or pressure bruises.
- Premature battery drain or device restart loops caused by the replaced battery.
4. Exclusions & Voiding Conditions
The warranty does not cover issues arising from subsequent accidental or external factors, including:
- Physical Damage: Cracked outer glass, broken inner OLED/LCD layers, dents, or frame bends occurring after collection.
- Liquid Exposure: Any contact with water, moisture, sweat, or corrosive liquids. We do not provide warranty on liquid-damaged device repairs.
- Third-Party Tampering: Opening or modifying the device by any non-PRC technician or unauthorized repair facility.
- Software Issues: Operating system corruptions, malware, user lockouts, or forgotten passcodes.
5. How to Claim Warranty
Claiming warranty is straightforward:
- Bring your device to either our St Marys workshop (122 Queen St) or Schofields kiosk (227 Railway Tce).
- Provide your name, phone number, or receipt number from the original repair.
