Factory Reset Protection (FRP) is a built-in Android security feature designed to prevent unauthorized access to your device after a factory reset. When a Google account is registered on an Android device, FRP activates automatically whenever the device is wiped.
After the reset, the device demands the previously linked Google account credentials to unlock. Without them - due to a forgotten password, a second-hand purchase, or a software error - your phone becomes a costly paperweight.
