Mail-In Phone Repair: How It Works

Your phone is broken, your week is full, and the nearest repairer you actually trust isn't around the corner. This is exactly the problem mail-in repair solves — and at PRC Repair it has become the way a huge share of our customers get their devices fixed, from the Hills District to regional NSW and beyond.

The process, step by step

  • 1. Tell us what's wrong. Start on our mail-in repair page or WhatsApp us with your device model and the fault.
  • 2. Post it in. Package the device securely (a padded satchel and a snug box is plenty) and send it tracked to our workshop at 122 Queen Street, St Marys NSW 2760. Back up first if you can — our common phone problems guide covers how.
  • 3. We diagnose and quote. A technician inspects the device and sends you a firm quote over WhatsApp. Nothing happens until you approve it.
  • 4. Repair, test, return. Once approved, we repair with quality parts, run the device through full function testing, and post it back tracked. The work is warranty-backed like every PRC repair.

Is posting a phone safe?

With tracking both ways and proper packaging, yes. Thousands of devices move through Australia Post daily for exactly this purpose. Remove the SIM before sending, keep your tracking number, and use the checklist we send when you book.

When mail-in beats walking in

  • You're not near a repairer you trust — distance stops mattering entirely.
  • The fault isn't urgent-urgent: post it Monday, have it back within the week in most cases (message us for current turnaround).
  • The repair is specialised — microsoldering, data recovery, board-level faults — where the right workshop matters far more than the nearest one.

When to come in instead

If you're local to St Marys or passing through Western Sydney, dropping in can be quicker for common repairs like screens and batteries. Message us first and we'll confirm today's turnaround and have parts ready.

Either way, the same bench, the same technicians and the same warranty stand behind the repair. Start your mail-in repair here.
